Risedale School celebrates successful Work Experience programme for Year 10 pupils.

Risedale School is immensely proud of all our Year 10 pupils who completed Work Experience from  3rd - 7th June.

Witnessing them flourish in a professional setting outside the classroom has been a true inspiration. We've had some fantastic feedback from our pupils and the amazing employers who kindly hosted our future leaders! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our pupils on this journey into the world of work.

Helen Porritt - Careers Leader at Risedale School

Feedback from Year 10 Work Experience 2024:

Finlay Addison: The Fire Safety Company.  “It was a great pleasure to have a Year 10 student from Risedale School for a week of fire safety. Finlay put so much effort into everything he did, he took on all the tasks with great enthusiasm and asked loads of questions. Keep up your amazing work and thank you for a great week.”

Mlak Bakar: Risedale School Library: “Thank you to Mlak who created a new display for the Library while on her work experience placement with Miss Sellers.  Mlak drew inspiration from her work at Catterick Library, where she has been promoting books about different cultures and encouraging others to find out more about other countries. Thank you, Mlak, for your contribution to the library!"

Janet Bellew-Phillips: Purple Creative Studio. "Janet has represented the school brilliantly. Throughout the week, she’s tried a little bit of everything - from designing a website and coding to social media content and getting creative in Canva - it’s been fab to see her get stuck into all sorts! As well as showing her the different aspects of working at a digital agency, we managed to get her on the Skyjo hype too. Thanks for joining us, Janet!” Janet said, "It's definitely a unique place to work and I've had lots of fun".

Tyler Friend: Garrison Garage. “Shoutout to Tyler Risedale School for an incredible week! Your punctuality, eagerness to learn, and positive attitude have truly stood out. You've put so much effort and care into everything, and it's been a pleasure having you here. Your initiative and adaptability are impressive and valuable qualities in any workplace. Whether taking on tasks with enthusiasm or asking insightful questions, your contributions have made a real impact. Keep up the amazing work! Thanks for being such a positive presence this week, and best of luck in all your future endeavours.”

Lacey Hanson: Lazer Cheer Academy. “We have really enjoyed having one of our athletes and Junior Coaches, Lacey Hanson in for work experience from Risedale School.  She has learnt a lot about the admin side of running a business and has also spent  a couple of days recording tumbling videos for a project we gave her.”

Congratulations Year 10 - you were all absolutely amazing!!!

Thank-you
