Congratulations to all our Year 10 pupils who completed a successful week of work experience with local businesses and employers further afield.
I have been absolutely amazed and so proud of our pupils, who have risen to the challenge, demonstrating their employability and transferable skills as young adults in the workforce.
The feedback we received from employers, staff, parents and the pupils themselves was truly amazing. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who supported the pupils throughout the week. Witnessing the smiles, enthusiasm, chatter and confidence of our pupils during our visits was truly rewarding.
I would like to give special recognition to Grace Hall-Twist and Katie Rowell for their work with the North Yorkshire Fire Service - I still can’t believe you were up a fire ladder! To Harvey Guy for travelling to the furthest work placement with Orbility Limited in Portsmouth, and to Oliver Cooke for his outstanding week with Network Rail in York.
Well done Year 10 I am proud of each and every one of you!
