Risedale's Year 7 boys staged a remarkable second-half comeback against Northallerton, showcasing impressive resilience and teamwork.
Risedale School's Year 7 Boys' Football Team hosted Northallerton School & Sixth Form College on Thursday 20th March. The first half presented challenges for Risedale, but the team regrouped effectively during the break, returning to the field with renewed focus. The second half witnessed a significant shift in momentum, with Risedale demonstrating remarkable teamwork and determination. They matched Northallerton goal for goal, showcasing their resilience and commitment. The second half performance was a testament to their hard work. Billy Maclean and Joey Ormston, both from 7Dovaston, delivered outstanding performances, their work rate and passing combinations proving pivotal for Risedale.
Post-match, team coach Mr Allen praised his players, stating, "The boys showed incredible character to bounce back like that. Their second-half performance was a testament to their hard work and determination." He highlighted Billy and Joey's contributions, adding, "They worked their socks off from start to finish and produced some brilliant passing plays between them. Well done everyone!”
