The U13 Girls Football team faced their first challenge of the 24/25 season against the Wensleydale School and Sixth Form. Despite the challenging conditions, the team displayed impressive teamwork and resilience. The squad, which included returning players, new Year 7 pupils, and some players making a comeback after a 5-year break, fought hard throughout the match.

Although luck wasn't on their side this time, Mr J Metcalfe, the Team Coach and Teacher of Maths, expressed immense pride in the girls' performance and is excited to see them continue to develop. "I'm incredibly proud of all the girls and look forward to our next game," he said. "Their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship were evident throughout the match, and I'm confident they'll have a brilliant season."

Training takes place every Thursday after school for any players who might be interested in joining or returning to the football team.
