Monday 18th November marked a historic day for our young rugby players as they faced The Wensleydale School and Sixth Form in their debut competitive contact rugby match.

Despite the final score, the girls displayed immense courage, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the game. Their determination was inspiring, and their smiles at the end of the match were a testament to their positive spirit.

As they eagerly anticipate their next challenge, we commend their resilience and unwavering enthusiasm.

Mr Lawson, Head of PE at Risedale, said: "The girls were fantastic. They showed great heart and determination, and they should be incredibly proud of their performance. This is just the beginning of their rugby journey, and we can't wait to see what they achieve in the future."
