Celebrating a Special Occasion: Risedale Musicians Perform for the King and Queen with Durham Miners' Association Brass Band.
Risedale School proudly congratulates Ms Dunphy and Alex Dunphy, members of the Durham Miners' Association Brass Band, on their extraordinary honour of performing at Durham Cathedral for the Maundy Thursday visit of His Majesty the King and Queen on 17th April.
Ms Dunphy, a seasoned Eb Bass player with 36 years of dedication to brass bands, and Alex, the band's talented drummer of 8 years, represented both the ensemble and their school on this significant royal occasion.
Reflecting on the experience, Alex shared, “Being chosen to take part in such a historic and meaningful occasion was a true privilege, and it was an amazing experience for us to represent the band and the school as part of this special royal visit.”
Risedale School extends its warmest congratulations to both Ms Dunphy and Alex on this remarkable achievement and is incredibly proud of their involvement in such a special event.
