Risedale Goes Bananas! Pupils transform ordinary bananas into masterpieces in a house competition celebrating creativity and fun. ๐
We are delighted to announce the results from “Risedale’s Gone Bananas!” House competition 2024. This quirky challenge tasked pupils to transform a humble yellow banana into a masterpiece using just a biro pen.
Head of Art, Ms Westwood, was impressed by the creativity on display. "Well done to everyone who entered," she said, "I really enjoyed looking through hundreds of your extremely creative entries." Ms Westwood especially loved the year groups' distinct approaches: Year 7's innovative ideas, Year 8's character-filled and whimsical creations, and Year 9's hilarious take on the challenge. "It just shows that a clever idea doesn't need to be complicated or serious!" she remarked.
Everyone who took part received Epraise points. The finalists were then selected, and the top 3 winners in each year group were chosen, earning extra points and a prize!
"Risedale's Gone Bananas" was a resounding success, not just for the artistic creations it produced, but for the spirit of innovation and fun it fostered within the school. The competition serves as a reminder that even the most ordinary objects can become a platform for artistic expression and that a little creativity can go a long way!
