On Tuesday 23rd October, the Risedale girls football teams played some amazing matches against The Wensleydale School & Sixth Form at the Jaffa.
Wensleydale arrived with one less player for their U15s team, so Ria Glenn (9Vizor), offered to play a full match for them and ironically scored all their goals. You’re definitely playing for Risedale next time Ria!!!!
Both the U13 and U15 teams played 11-a-side, and the U13 only conceded goals in the first half of their game. However, they all rose to the challenge in the second half and played some exciting football, showing grit and determination to keep going.
Special thanks to Mr Lawson and Mr Allen for refereeing, and to all the family spectators who turned up to cheer the teams on.
The whole PE department is so proud of the talented and enthusiastic group of girls they are able to choose from to represent Risedale this year and the great news is that they are always happy to welcome new players at Wednesday night's training sessions.
